It is of course with great sadness that I learnt of the demise of my music teacher in High School. We called him Pa Johnson and we have all got fond memories of him.He taught me how to play the recorder (sad to say I have lost touch now), he taught us a whole lot of songs. Music classes were always ones I looked forward to with great excitement. No, I have not got a good voice, but with Pa Johnson who needs that?. You would always hear his deep voice rising over ours and touching those special places in the heart. The Gambia Methodist Academy has indeed lost a great teacher, a friend, a father and a guide. May eternal light continue to shine on him. Till we meet again, Pa Johnson, rest in perfect peace!
